ビートルズ解散後、「バングラデシュ難民コンサート」など様々なコンサートに友情出演していたリンゴが23年ぶりにメイン・アクトとしてツアーを行なったのがこの第1期オールスター・バンドであり、これがそのライブ盤です。
メンバーはドクター･ジョン、ジョー・ウォルシュ、ニルス・ロフグレン、レボン・ヘルム、リック・ダンコ、ビリー・プレストン、クラレンス・クレモンズ、ジム・ケルトナーでした。
